Haltiala – A Countryside Experience in the Heart of Helsinki

In the spring of 2026, Lännentila Oy acquired Haltiala Farm in Northern Helsinki. Following extensive updates, the redesigned farm grounds will officially open with a grand opening celebration on June 1, 2026. Admission to the area and parking are completely free of charge.

At Haltiala Farm, visitors can meet and admire a variety of animals, from sheep and cows to alpacas, at our free-of-charge petting zoo. In addition, we offer a wide range of ticketed, farm-themed activities, including pony rides, a pedal car track, minigolf, and much more.

The farm also boasts a diverse selection of food and drink options to keep you energized throughout your visit: a cozy café serving a daily soup lunch, the Flatbread Pizzeria (Rieskapizzeria), the Waffle Shack (Vohvelivaja), the Haltiala Burger Truck, and an ice cream kiosk. Throughout the summer, the farm will also host a rotating daily program with activities for all ages.

Arrival and Parking

Haltiala Farm features five different parking areas with a total capacity of approximately 1,200 cars.

The first two parking areas are located along Laamannintie, the road leading to the farm. A large field area opens up about 500 meters before the farm; it is available for parking during dry weather and can accommodate around 1,000 cars. On the right side of the road, about 300 meters before the farm next to the Haltiala bridge, there is space for approximately 50 cars.

Immediately after the farm, a road turning to the right leads to a parking lot with a capacity of 80 cars. Additionally, there is space for 40 cars along this access road. If you continue further down Kuninkaantammentie for about 700 meters until the road ends, you will reach the Niskala Arboretum, which has a parking lot for about 40 cars.

About one kilometer before reaching the farm, Torpparinmäenpolku turns left off Laamannintie. Along this path, you will find a parking lot with space for approximately 40 cars.

We highly recommend arriving at Haltiala by bicycle or public transport. There are plenty of bicycle racks available on the farm grounds. Bus line 600 brings you closest to Haltiala Farm. Get off at the Koetilankatu stop, and from there, it is just over a half-kilometer walk to the farm.
